movement is important – the key is doing the right movement

Neuroplasticity is the process of relearning through repetition.  Movement of the body is important.  Doing it safely is the key.  A personal trainer will help you build strength and muscle.  This is key when spasticity is setting in and your affected limbs are getting weak.

A physiotherapist is kind of a mix between a personal trainer and a physical therapist.  They approach a holistic, hands on, less exercise form of movement.   Depending on the severity of your stroke symptoms, you may choose a physiotherapist over a personal trainer until you’re feeling ready for more challenge.
