There are some great alternative, holistic and non traditional treatments that bolster stroke recovery efforts. Each area affected, the amount of damage done to the area, age and health of the survivor, how long until treated – these are all factors in what makes your stroke uniquely yours.
Some of these treatments work amazingly well for some survivors and not so much for others. Each stroke is different so each treatment will elicit a different response. Add in co-morbidities like diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease and your response to treatments will vary according to what is safe and allowable for you.
None of these treatments can heal stroke damage done to the brain; they only enhance your brain’s ability to build new connections. You should not use the services of anyone promising to reverse stroke damage, grow new brain tissue or prevent another stroke event. While these treatments appear to support their claims, it is misleading and irresponsible to make undocumented promises.
Neuroplasticity and cell regeneration is entirely real and stroke recovery is dependent on them. Treatments, nutrition and supplements are layers to the recovery process making your efforts even more successful.
